A game, and only a game

Why free games here are still 18+

Social casino games borrow their look, sound and pacing from real gambling. That is why Toadstool Glade is for adults above the legal gambling age, and why nothing here is directed at under-18s. We check age twice: once on the banner you see as you arrive, and again with a tick when you make your account.

Lines the glade will never cross

• Offering real-money gambling, or promoting it.
• Giving away prizes of real-world value.
• Selling coins, or bolting on in-app purchases.
• Linking out to gambling operators or affiliates.
• Using countdowns or streaks to press you into returning.

A fair warning

A free game can be set to feel kind, and it tops your balance up for nothing. Real-money games will do neither. However well you play here, it tells you nothing about how you would fare with money on the line.

Signs worth watching for in yourself

• Staying a good deal longer than you meant to.
• Feeling snappish when it is time to stop.
• Using the reels to escape how you feel.
• Play eating into sleep, work or time with your people.
• Finding yourself looking for a version that takes real money.

Keeping your hands on the lantern

• Before the first spin, settle on how long you will play.
• Leave autoplay switched off in the glade.
• Step away now and then.
